Third New Case of Legionnaires at Veterans Home Where 13 Died on Rauner's Watch

Chicago, IL – After Bruce Rauner’s fatal mismanagement of the Legionnaires crisis led to the deaths of 13 Veterans and their spouses, three new cases of the disease were found at the Quincy Veterans’ Home.
Rauner’s Departments of Public Health and Veterans’ Affairs quietly announced the latest case shortly after his highly-covered budget address, and questions are piling up about the extent of the outbreak.

“Year after year, new Legionnaires outbreaks threaten the lives of our nation’s heroes while Bruce Rauner is asleep at the wheel,” said Pritzker campaign spokeswoman Jordan Abudayyeh.“This is more of the same from Bruce Rauner — another crisis spiraling out of control, a failed governor refusing to take responsibility, and fatal mismanagement affecting our state’s most vulnerable.”
