Pritzker Campaign Releases Timeline of Rauner’s 700-Day Budget Devastation

Chicago, IL – Today, Illinois enters day 700 without a state budget, a staggering achievement for Bruce Rauner to add to his collection of failures. Day 700 of Rauner’s historic budget crisis also coincides with the official end of the legislative session, making it all the more likely that Illinois will close out another year without a budget.
In response, the Pritzker campaign is taking a look back at 700 Days and all of the ways Rauner’s record-breaking impasse has devastated Illinois. The timeline highlights the education cuts and social service guts, the job losses and small business closures, the students dropping out of school due to cuts to financial aid and the families struggling to make ends meet.
