Why Did Dennis Murashko Resign?
Chicago, IL – After a Friday news dump, questions remain about the abrupt departure of Bruce Rauner’s longtime chief legal counsel, Dennis Murashko.
Murashko, a close Rauner adviser, resigned just two days after circulating a recently released memo that lays out ethical guidelines for interactions between the governor’s official and political offices. The governor was allegedly not pleased with the memo, and as calls for an investigation mount, Bruce Rauner still won’t address the reason for Murashko’s resignation.
“After spending months trying to hide the Murashko memo and dodging inquiries about the firing of his chief legal counsel, Illinoisans deserve answers from Bruce Rauner,” said Pritzker communications director Galia Slayen.
